        We              to Guilin last week. We              a great time there. Guilin is a big city. The hills and water

Dear Mom
       I arrived in Guilin yesterday. What a beautiful place! The people here are kind and I make some new
friends. Guess who I met here today? Sam, my English teacher! He was working here as a volunteer(志愿
者). He worked in a middle school. He showed me around the city. I also went to his school. His students
like him very much. By the way, I bought some presents for you and Dad. I bought a silk clothes and a silk
tie for you two. They are very nice! I am going to fly to Beijing next Friday.
