Birth to six months : When the doctor told us that we were going to have triplets(三胞胎), we were surprised and wondered what the future would be . We quickly found out after we brought our three babies home.
The first six months was a difficult learning experience. We wrote everything down, such as what time the babies ate and how much food they ate . We marked all the toys, bottles and clothes with a different color for each child so they could know what was theirs.
Six months to four years : It was hardest for us to find all the things. We had three of everything Eventhough we tried very hard, we would never be able to carefully watch all three of them at the same time. Every two- year-old wanted to touch and taste everything, but everything had to be shared by the triplets. We soon learned that they each wanted what their sisters had at that moment.
When they began to speak, my wife noticed that they had their own names for each other. when we began to record the special sounds that they said to each other, we realized that they had their own language. The age when we felt happiest was two.
school age: When it was time to send the children to school, they went to three different classes. Kindergarten and first grade were easier for the kids than they were for us . They each had plenty of art homework. Since they had three different assignments(作业), homework lasted a long time. Second grade seemed to be less of a problem at homework time because they were able to do more work without our help.
The triplets didn't always get along. Sometimes they fought just like other brothers and sisters. However, there was still a bond(联系) between them that my wife and I wished never disappeared.
