Liu Sanzi is an eight-year–old boy from a village in Hunan Province.His parents want him to drop out of school because of his poor family.

Norman Bethune is one of China’s most famous heroes（英雄），but he wasn’t Chinese-（A）he was Canadian．He gave his life to helping the Chinese people．

（B）诺尔曼白求恩出生于1890年．He became a doctor in 1916，and looked after injured soldiers in the First World War．He saw（C）a lot of soldiers die in the war，and later he invented new treatments to help soldiers，and medical tools to use outside hospitals．He’s remembered for his work as a doctor treating（治疗）soldiers in different countries．
