I think it is good that many families keep animals¡¡1.¡¡pets. Unfortunately, some people do not take good care of their pets. Some do not feed their pets enough so they become¡¡2.¡¡. Others do not give their pets a good place to¡¡3.¡¡in and the animals can get too hot or too cold. There are also a few people who¡¡4.¡¡their pets. I feel this is wrong. People should not treat their pets badly.

The government of the UK is thinking of ¡¡5.¡¡to help protect pets ¨C it¡¯s about time! It wants a set of instructions on ¡¡6.¡¡ to take care of different kinds of animals. The instructions would¡¡7.¡¡ explain how to keep animals happy! That is good news for pets, don¡¯t you think so?

The UK government also wants to create some ¡¡8.¡¡¡®pet police(Õþ²ß)¡¯. They can go to people¡¯s homes to check whether they are taking care of their pets¡¡9.¡¡. If they find someone treating an animal badly, they can take the animal¡¡10.¡¡. People who hurt their pets can even go to jail(¼àÓü). I hope more people will now try to take better care of their pets.

Dear Wang Yao,
¡¡¡¡Hi! I'm Jim. Nice to meet you. It's very exciting to have a Chinese friend!
In America, school starts at eight-thirty, so I usually get up around seven o'clock.
What time does school start in China? I have breakfast at seven thirty, but before
that I take a shower. My favorite subject is history, because I think it's interesting
and I really like my teacher, Mr. Hall. What' s your favorite subject?
¡¡¡¡My last class is at four o'clock, and after school I like to play basketball.
Can you play basketball? I can also play the guitar, but I can't play it very well.
What are your hobbies?
¡¡¡¡Today I want to go to a movie. Do you like movies? My favorite movies are
action movies and thrillers. I don't like documentaries because I think they're
boring£®
¡¡¡¡Please write and tell me about your life in China£®
                                                                          Best wishes,
                                                                          Jim
