　　Mom and Dad are two of the most important people in your life．Over your lifetime, they may influence you more than anyone else you will meet．So if your mom loves to read, you just might grow up carrying a book wherever you go, just as she does．But parents do a lot more than just pass on their hobbies．Moms and Dads need to care for their kids the minute their kids are born．Most parents will do this as long as they live．

　　Here are some ways you can stay close, get along well, and build a strong relationship( 关系)with your parents．

　　Spend time together．Instead of playing computer games or watching TV, ask your mom and dad to play with you．Go outside together, or do some reading．

　　Be kind．Little things might mean a lot to your mom or dad．You can brighten a parent's day with a hug(拥抱), a card, or a joke．It's also lovely when a kid cleans up his or her room without being asked．And if you try not to fight with your brothers or sisters, your parents will be so happy!

　　Do your best at whatever you do．You don't have to be perfect, but when you do your best, you make your parents proud．It makes them happy to see how you're turning into a great kid．Why? Because it lets them know they're doing a good job．

　　The Internet can be a very fun and useful tool．It has become so extensive that you can now do everything from shop for clothes to research the pyramids of Egypt．There are so many things you can do, just by being online．One of the most unique experiences to come out of the Internet’s popularity is the phenomenon (现象) of Internet friends．

　　An Internet friend is someone who you talk to online and probably have never met．You may have first talked to this person in a chat room and discovered that you had a lot in common．You probably exchange messages with this person whenever you are online．Internet friends often live in another city, or even another country!Having Internet friends is a unique experience and gives us a chance to learn about other people．

　　Even though Internet friends can be a lot of fun, it is important to remember that we need to be cautious (谨慎的) Since we have probably never met the person we are talking to, we have no way of knowing if they are telling the truth．It is important not to give too much personal information because it may be dangerous．Always think twice before giving an Internet friend your telephone number or home address．

　　Having Internet friends can be very exciting, but it is important to remember to keep the relationship light hearted．There may be many people that you talk to online, but they don’t know the real you．An Internet friend can never replace your true friends．A good friend will know all about you and be there when you need them．You can spend time with them and share your feelings．

　　If you have Internet friends, enjoy talking with them online, but don’t forget about your other true friends．Remember to balance your time among friends and you should have a good time!
