这是一个单词纸牌游戏.请你在阅读完短文后,把A、B、C、D、E五个图片按游戏的正确步骤(Steps1-5)重新排列,然后完成下题.

This was one of my favourite games when I was a little girl. My sister and I used to play it for hours at a time. To play this game we made twenty-six small pieces of cards. On each of these cards we printed an English letter. And this is how we played it:

First, before we started to play, we decided what the game would be about. For example, we chose to play flowers.

One of us would then mix(混合) the cards and turn over the one on top of them. If the letter on the card happened(碰巧) to be P, we would try to think, as quickly as possible, of a flower which began with P, such as pansy(紫罗兰) or pink(石竹花). The one who first gave the name of the flower won that card. This was done with each of the twenty-six cards.

In the end the person who had more cards won the game.

Step 1.____ Step 2.____ Step 3.____ Step 4.____ Step 5.____

1.Which is RIGHT?

[ ]

A.The game can only be played between two people.

B.If you choose to play flowers, the letter on the card will be P.

Held on the second Wednesday of March each year, No Smoking Day helps people across the UK who want to stop smoking. The activity encourages and helps smokers to give up, and publicizes(宣传) the many sources of help offered to people. Each year over a million smokers take part in the day, while about 40,000 actually give up smoking.

The much-publicized effects of smoking include increased risk (风险) of heart disease, lung cancer and asthma. However, smoking also causes dull skin and wrinkles. And while many smokers believe that cigarettes help them to cope with stress (对付压力), scientific research has shown that worry levels actually go down after giving up smoking.

Think of life as a game in which you are playing with five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit (精神) and you keep all of them in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will jump back.

But the other four balls, family, health, friends and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be broken. They will never be the same. You must understand that and try to have the balance in your life. How?

Don’t look down on your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different and each of us is special.

Don’t let other people set goals for you. Only you know what is best for yourself.

Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Don’t be afraid of difficulties. We learn how to be brave by taking chances.

Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible. The quickest way to receive love is to give it; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly (紧紧地); the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you’ve been, but also where you are going.

Don’t be afraid to learn. Knowledge is a treasure (珍宝) you can always carry easily.

Don’t use time or words carelessly. You can’t get them back. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery (秘密), and today is a gift; that’s why we call it “the present”. Life is not a competition, but a trip, step by step.
