  Faraday (法拉第), a famous physicist and chemist (物理学家和化学家) in the world, was born in England in 1791, and died in 1867. in his life he found very important things in physics, such as the appearance of the electromagnetic induction(电磁感应), the law of electrolysis (电解定律) and so put forward (提出) the idea of the electric field (电场) and magnetic field (磁场). His finding was of important effect (作用)on electric production.

  As a boy, his family was very poor and his parents couldn't pay for his cost of the education. So he went to school only several years. When he was thirteen years old, he began to be a boy of selling newspapers and then he became an apprentice (学徒). He loved the subject of science. During the time when he worked, he read a large number of books in science and he still set up his laboratory. Later he went to the college of English Imperial House and became an assistant in the lab. Because of working hard he could do experiments alone. In the end he won success.

  Faraday was a great scientific thinker. He not only devoted (奉献) himself to the scientific study but also insisted on giving lessons in scientific knowledge to the young people. He made greater contributions to science.
