Chinese Spring Festival
It is the biggest and most important festival in China and Southeast Asia. New Year’s Eve dinner is the most important thing when the whole family get together. Special food is served and more meat is prepared than usual. Fireworks break at night, getting the demons and bad luck away. Pictures of the Doors God (门神) are put up on the door. Paper cuts and lucky words on bright red paper are also put up on walls and windows.
