　　James is an American boy. He's going to be a student in a middle school in Shanghai. He wants to know much about China, because his parents tell him there are many festivals in China. So now he's trying to find something about the Mid-Autumn Festival（中秋节）. Here's what his computer tells him.

　　The Mid-Autumn Festival usually comes in September or October. On that day many families will have a big dinner. They will eat moon cakes. They are small round cakes. Most of them are sweet. People also give moon cakes to their friends as presents（礼物）. Then in the evening people will go out to celebrate（庆祝）the round moon. It seems bigger and brighter. They also tell the story of Chang'e flies to the moon. It's the time for all the family members to get together.

　　The American people celebrate Thanksgiving Day on the fourth Thursday of November. On that day people give thanks to God for giving them a good harvest（丰收）. It's usually a family day. People get together to celebrate the harvest. A big turkey（火鸡）and some pumpkin pies（南瓜派）are their special food for the festival. They always have a lot to eat.
