　　Mr King had a bookshop in a town. He liked skating but there was no stadium(体育场) there. On Sundays he often went skating on a large lake which was near a village.

　　One winter Sunday it was very cold. Mr King was happy and got up early that morning. After a quick breakfast he started at a quarter to eight. He drove his car but the roads were covered with thick snow and it took him an hour to get to the small station which was only seven kilometers away from the town.
