   How can you keep yourselves safe? Here are some suggestions.

When there is a fire: Shout out “Fire”! Call 119! Try to find a safe exit(出口) and get away quickly. Don’t use a lift. Use a piece of cloth to cover your mouth and nose.

When there is an earthquake at school: Stay calm. Follow the teachers’ instructions. Quickly move under the desk. Don’t jump out of windows or run out.

When you are on the street: Wait for the green traffic light. Look left and right before crossing the street. Don’t run across the street.

When you are eating: Wash fruits and vegetables carefully before eating them. Check the expiration dates(保质期) of the food. Don’t eat the food if it looks or smells bad.

When you are at school: Take care not to fall down or hurt yourself. Don’t run，jump or push while going upstairs or downstairs. Take care of yourself all the time.

Long March exhibit

The Shanghai History Museum is putting on exhibition to remember the Long March(长征) which took place 75 years ago. More than 220 photos and 40 other things are on show. All the exhibition is explained in Chinese. The show will end on November 20.

Thai elephants

Eight elephants from Thailand are an attraction for visitors at Changfeng Park by riding bikes, playing basketball, dancing and blowing a musical instrument. The elephants give three shows a day at 9:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and there is an extra show at 1:30 p.m. at weekends. The show will end on November 15.

Dancing dolphins

Future and Today

It is well known that everyone has his own dream as well as his own future. But do you know what future really is ? I have to say that future is now. That is to say we must treasure every minute now. If we want to have a bright future, we should know how important time is and use it well.

There is an old English saying: “Gain time, gain life.” Then what’s time? Time is something that we can’t see or touch, but we can feel it passing by. Time is always with us. When we are at table, time passes; when we play, time goes by unnoticeable. We always say “Time is money”, but time is even more precious(珍贵的)than money, because when money is spent , we can earn it back. But if time is gone away, it will never return. So, some of us even say time is priceless(无价的)

We should always remember: future is now. For us students, we should try our best to work hard in order to create a great future of our own. We should make the best use of every hour and be the master of today. We should do everything before us as well as possible. And never put off what can be done today till tomorrow。
