This morning I got a funny feeling. Today I had to give a report in my  1  , and I had been doing this for a long time!

    Mum came into the kitchen, asking, "Are you ready(准备好的), Sam?"     

"Yes," I answered quietly,2  in fact I wasn't ready, really!

    On my way to school, I could feel my heart beating (跳动) fast. I hated this.

    I went into Mrs. Green's class. She is smiling (微笑), and saying hello to all her students as she did every morning.

    "Hi, Sam," she said to me as I walked  3  the classroom.

    "Hi," I said and quickly sat in my  4  . I looked at the clock. The class was about to begin. Then Mrs. Green started, "Sam, it's time for you to give your speech."  "  5  in front of everybody? Oh, no! "

    I stood up slowly, looking at the ground and I walked to the front of the classroom. Then, I looked up, and everyone was looking at me. Mrs. Green knew I was  6  , so she came beside me, and put  7  hand on my back.

    She said to the class, "Sam has worked very hard on his  8  and I know it is a very interesting report." Then she turned to me and asked, "Sam,  9  did you like best about the report on Hawaii?"  

      I thought about the funny things I had read about surfing, and I  10  to talk. I talked and talked in front of the whole class, and I was not nervous at all. It was great fun. I wasn't nervous. The class cheered when I finished and Mrs. Green was smiling.
