　　Many people visit Singapore to go shopping．Now I'm in Singapore．Between June and July，here is a great sale．

　　On Orchard Road，there are many big stores．You can see big"SALE" on front of the clothes stores with prices along the street．You can see T-shirts in red，yellow,blue and green for only 5 - 10 Singapore dollars．The pants are on sale for only 8 dollars each．And the socks are very cheap.They are 1 dollars each．The stores have beautiful shirts，hats,bags． shoes and many other things．You can have a great shopping experience(机会)，go to Singapore and take a look for yourself!

　　There are many online(网上)food shopping sites．This is very surprising．Things like CDs, books, and DVDs sell well online．But it is quite different to sell food online because people like to see food with their own eyes．It is very important for people to buy fresh fruit and vegetables．Customers like to choose their food by its color．They also want to touch and smell it．But some people like to go to the same shop to buy food, because they think the food there has a very good quality(质量)．So if the food is always good, they may also feel comfortable buying it online．

　　Boxes of fruits and vegetables have been delivered to homes around Britain for a few years now．Dried or canned(罐装的)foods are almost always the same, but things like apples are not．People may want to choose their own apples so they can take the ones that aren't bruised(碰伤)or the ones that look nice．Buying dried and canned food online is easier．A person can buy this kind of food on the Internet and then buy fruits and vegetables at a store or a market．

　　Now people can also buy food through supermarket websites(网站)．There people can find most of the things that supermarkets usually sell．Other food websites sell different types of food．Some sell food from one part of the world such as Asia．Others sell food that is hard to find in supermarkets．There are also websites that sell sweet foods such as cakes and candies．

　　The food is usually delivered by the next day or even on the same day．People still need to be careful, though．They must check to see if the food is fresh when they get it．It is a good idea for people to find out how far away the food is being delivered from．It is also a problem if the company does not use refrigeration(冷藏)when they deliver food that should be kept cold．If traveling long distances in the summer to deliver the goods, this is important．

　　A lot of teenagers are good at art at school, but how would you feel if people called you “the new Picasso(毕加索)” or if presidents and other famous people collected your paintings?

　　Alexandra Nechita was ten when her paintings became famous all over the world．She visited Britain, France, Italy, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and her family’s native place(祖籍)Romania where 5,000 fans came to see her at the airport．Alexandra said, “When it all started, I was moved．It was very exciting and I loved the traveling, but I got very tired．And I missed home．”

　　Alexandra is a good student．Her studies always come first．She only starts painting after she’s done her homework．She works on two or three paintings at a time．The paintings sell for thousands and Alexandra’s parents have given up their jobs to work for their daughter．Life for the Nechita family is very different from what it was like a few years ago．

　　Alexandra’s father Niki left Romania for political reasons in 1985．At first he tried his best to learn English and had different kinds of low-paid jobs．In 1987, he brought his wife and Alexandra, who was then 18 months old, to America．The family was very poor．Alexandra began to draw at the age of three．

　　She was drawing for four or five hours a day．Soon people offered to buy her paintings and she had her first art show at the age of eight．Stories about this child appeared in the newspapers and television．They now live in a large house with a swimming pool．Her mother said, “We started without anything, but thanks to Alexandra, we have everything we ever dreamed of．”
