Those who are in favor of the idea think that the factory can provide new job opportunities for the local people and it will surely promote the development of the local economy. What’s more, the plant will bring in new ideas of management, as well as modern equipment and machines.
On the other hand, some others are against the idea. These people say that the chemical plant will produce noise which will disturb people’s life. The waste water and the poisonous gases from the plant will pollute the river and the air, which will surely do harm to people’s health.
Personally, I think it is really important to protect nature and to develop economy at the same time.
