James is a good student and he has lots of friends, but he also has a problem. Some older boys are bullying(欺负)him at school. James is very unhappy and he doesn't know what to do about it. Here are some suggestions to him and other teenagers in this situation.
Don't feel worried. It's not your fault(过错)! Being bullied can make you feel very lonely and angry, but you are not alone. Don't feel that you have to hide the problem. You should find a person you can trust, and tell them. It might be your teacher, your parents,or even your friend's parents. After you tell someone, you will get some support and feel some relief(解脱).
Speaking to an adult might make you nervous, but here are other things you can do. Some people express their feelings more easily on paper. Write a letter to someone or keep a diary. Include all the details(细节)about what the bullies do, as well as when and where the bullying happens. You can use it as proof to show what is going on. And it is a wonderful idea to show your letter or diary to a teacher or another responsible adult. Then the bullies will feel very afraid if their names appear in a letter!
Also, don't show you are sad and don't try and fight with the bullies. You could get in trouble yourself. Ignore them and just walk away. The bullies will soon stop.

About a week ago, when I was playing basketball at our city park, I noticed a small group of boys picking on(作弄) a smaller boy. They were calling his names and even pushed him to the ground and kicked something in his face. When I saw that, I walked over to the group.
I stepped them and the smaller boy, and asked them politely what this boy had done . One of the boys replied, “He’s weird.” Then I asked one of the boys if he thought his friend was weird, and the was “No.” So, I asked another boy what the word “weird” , and he said, “Different.” That was my cue(暗示). I told them that everyone was , and that they all looked just as different to the other boy as he did to them. They all stood for a moment, and then the most amazing thing happened. A TV series in England,Away from it all,has surprised everyone by becoming a success with young people across the country. Its success is surprising because the series is about the relaxing lifestyles of people who live in the country. There is none of the action that we usually see on TV today. There are also no stressful moments, busy offices or crowded cities. Away from it all is set in the peaceful English countryside and tells simple stories about people’s kindness.
The director of the TV series says that its success is a sign of teenagers suffering from stress. They say that watching Away from it all helps teenagers forget about the pressures of exams and homework, and the troubles that fill the world today. They also say that it’s a good sign of today’s young people turning to happier TV series as it shows they want a happier and healthier world.
Although the series’ success might have a good side, many teachers and parents are worried, however. They say that some of their students and children spend more time before TV and are using Away from it all as an excuse for not finishing homework. Some children have even refused to learn for exams because they say that they can only get personal happiness by avoiding stressful situations.
And what do the experts say? Paula Ray, a doctor of education, says that TV can influence children’s lifestyles.
