I have been having problems with my parent these days because they always expect me do better even though I am a very good student in my class. They care too many about the exams but often ask my teachers about my grades. When I get the second place or the third one in test, they keep asking me,“Why ? You should be carefully next time.” So I begin to fear the exams. I don’t want to take part in some exams now .Now it hurt me to see them acting in this way. I think no matter how harder I try, it never seems to be enough .Am I wrong ?  Now I don’t know that what I should do.

Mark Twain, like you know, was famous in his days as the public speaker. He always liked to
play joke on his friends. One day, the one of his friends lost their wallet and asked him to buy a
train ticket for him. “But I don’t have enough money to pay both your ticket and mine,” Mark Twain said. The friend didn’t know what to do. “Let’s do this, “ Mark Twain saying, “You can get off the train and when the conductor comes to check the ticket you can hide under my seat.” Later, however, when the conductor comes to check the ticket, Mark Twain gave him two tickets-----one for him and the other for his friend.

A few years ago, some tourists pay no attention to environmental protection．They threw waste things about, like plastic bags, fruit skins and waste papers．Sometimes they broke trees, picked up flowers and killed birds; some even made fires in the woods to cook for picnics．What dangerous it was ! Fortunate, great changes have been taken places here．All the tourists have got  used to put their rubbish into dustbins．But they are making great efforts to protect birds and plants as well .They bring our own meals prevent any accidental fire．All these  should be appreciated

One cold winter day in 1900, a small boy calling Charlie Chaplin walking along the street in London.  He did not have breakfast and lunch. He wanted to buy some bread, but he didn't have some money. His father dead when he was very young. His mother was often very sick, so she can not take care of Charlie or his brother. All of them had to work to help their sick mother. He was a small boy but his dream was not very big. He wanted to be great man in the world of film. So he works very hard to sing and dance well.

When I walked into the classroom, the teacher was handing in the tests．I was feeling very nervous．I had not studied at all the weekend as I had thought it would be easy test．
I went through the test for many times but I could only answer three out from the twenty questions．I did not want to fail the exam． Then , I put my book under my desk, opening it and started looking for the answer．The teacher wasn’t looking at me ,but I copied something．Suddenly, I felt a hand in my shoulder! The teacher caught me cheating．I don’t know what to say．Luckily, the teacher did not punish for cheating but instead gave me a second chance．

Fang Tong is 34 years old, an actor, director and teacher of Beijing Opera Theatre. Most of her students are from other part of China and have come to Beijing at a very young age of sixteen or seventeen. He hopes create an environment for his students that it is much more relaxing than the one he used to study in. He thought that an actor should relax himself when performing. Yet his students deep respect him and he never needs to raise his voice in order to be hearing. For his opinion, actors should go on even when they feel they have made a mistake in their performances because the moment is already gone but people can never be back to it. So art is always changing and developing.

Growing up is not easy．Sometimes all that is need is someone to rely on．For many years, she was Mum．My mother was a career woman and has her own problems to take care, but when I needed her, she was always there．Her strength came from anywhere．I don’t quite know, somewhere very deep．She was so strong that she would never break down, even while I went to her with all my little-boy problems and shout at her．Her strength made me stronger and gave to me courage to try things other thought were impossible．A helping hand is always stronger enough to lift you up．

Dear Sir or Madame,
I’m very glad to be invited to an English summer camp.                 
I prefer to going in July because I’ll have to prepare ourselves for the new school term in August. It seemed that all the activities       you offer are attract and meaningful. But after have a discussion with my parents, I’ve decided to attend the English lectures, from them I can get more information on British and American culture. As a large group international people working, living or traveling in our country, communication becomes very important.I hope to teach foreigner Chinese and spread Chinese culture.

One day, Henry Adams, the American businessman , was lost in London. He didn’t know what to do when two old and wealthy brother met him. They found that Henry arrived London by accident and he had no money. They gave him a letter and told him to open it until two o’clock. Before long, Henry , who was in rags,  went into a restaurant .He ate as a wolf. In two o’clock, when he opened the letter, he was surprising but the waiter and the owner was shocked.  A million pound bank note was in Henry hands. What interesting it was!
