Jack London was a famous America writer. He was born

in January 12, 1876, in San Francisco, California. His family

was very poor, Jack had to leave school to make money. He

worked hard in many different jobs.

Later, Jack returned to school, so he didn't stay long.

He wrote: “Life and pocketbook were all to short.”

In 1897, he went to the Alaska to find gold. Instead,

he found idea there for his books and stories. He came back

to home and started to write.  His writings were successful,

and he became rich and famous in twenties.

Jack London was not a happy man, however. In poor health

he died in 1916. He was only 40 years old.

Our roads were never designing for such a heavy traffic.

It takes longer and longer to get from one place to another.
