　　I've always been interesting in your

magazine. I find them very helpful in

increasing my knowledge of English.

　　However, as there was a big gap(差距)

between beginners and advanced student, I

suggest, you put out a special edition(版)for

beginners, something as your“Beginners'

Corner”, which middle school children enjoy

very much. The public library in Hong Kong

have childrens' reading rooms where every

type of books are prepared for children of

different levels.

　　I hope my suggestion is practical and

much people will like it

　I am in England three months now. I find

some of the customs new and interested. People

here do not shake hands as more as we do in

China. During the first few weeks I was often

surprising because people did not put out their

hand when I met them. Men raise their hats

to women but do not to each other. When you

go to a friends' house for a meal, it's not

the custom to say “Thank you” at end of the

meal like in our country.

　A young mother thought very wrong to waste any food. One

evening, she was giving her little daughter everything to eat

before putting her to bed. First she gives her a piece of bread with

butter, but the child said which she didn't want it like that. she

asked for some jam (果酱) on her bread, either.

Her mother looked her for a few moments and then said,

“When I was a child like you, Lucy, I was always giving either bread

and butter, or bread and jam, but ever bread with butter and jam.”

you can dress paper hats, paper gloves(手套)　　　　　　

and paper raincoats. When you have use　　　　　　　　　　　　

them once, you throw them away and to buy

　　The latest in paper seem to be paper　　　　　　　　   

houses. You can put it up yourself after a few　　   

hours, and you can use for about five years.
