across. But for a small country it has a surprised range

of climates. People who have ever visited England, or

of thinking that it is cold and wet country. Except for

true in the north of England and the Midlands.

To the south, however, the climate is much more

pleasant. One result is because when people retire from a

job in the north they often pilfer move to the milder south.

Before radio and television invented, people spent more

time reading, playing games and make conversations.

Although all these pastimes have disappeared completely,

the modern families are very likely to spend the evening in
