题目列表(包括答案和解析)
What’s the red star in the sky through a telescope(望远镜)? It is Mars. Do you want to know more about it? Take the “Mars Orbit Express”!
“Mars Orbit Express” is a space probe (探测器). It was sent towards Mars by American scientists on August 12th,2005. Its tasks are to study Mars’ atmosphere and return photos to Earth. But before that “Mars Orbit Express” must travel about 100 hundred million kilometers and seven months. It reached Mars’ orbit(轨道)in March,2006.
Mars and Earth have similar weight and size. However,Mars is closer to the sun than Earth. Mars is very cold. The average temperature is below 50℃. The temperature at noon only reaches 20℃ during a Mars day. Its atmosphere is mostly CO2. It has much sand and two moons---Phobos and Deimos.
Scientists think Earth and Mars had similar beginnings 4.6 billion years ago. But while Earth supports millions of lives,Mars becomes bad. “Earth easily could have turned out like that.” said an scientist, “It is important for us to find out why and Mars Orbit Express’ should do that.” “Mars Orbit Express” also would help scientists to learn what might happen to Earth in the future. “Mars Orbit Express” would work for about four years.

阅读下面短文,把A-D四个句子填入文中空缺处,使短文内容完整正确,然后完成第80小题。
Chinese space lover Wang Yuan has been chosen as one of the volunteers for the Mars-500 test project. 1. Another five volunteers are all space. They are three Russians, an
Italy-Colombian and a Frenchman. They will feel what it's like to travel to Mars without leaving the earth. During the whole process (过程), they are locked up for one and a half years under the condition which is similar to the red planet. So the experiment is called Mare-500.
2. Although the volunteers won't leave the building, they will feel as if(好像) they are on a real trip to Mars. The most difficult thing is that they will be separated from the people outside. 3. That will be hard. When reporters asked what they would miss most during the 500-day special life, Charles from France said, "For me, it will be mainly my family, the sun and fresh air."
The main task is to study "Man and Environment". It will care about the astronauts' physical
effects and the experience of staying there. 4. So they will have to make decisions by themselves and then report to the earth, and the earth will tell them whether they do the right thing or not.
Each astronaut is preparing for the great challenge. And people are looking forward to the result of the experiment.
A. Everyone will stay and work there alone.
B. For 18 months, they won't see sunsets or sunrises.
C. The Mars-500 test will be in a special building in Moscow.
D. He was very happy to be chosen and will accept the challenge.
5.According to the passage, which of the following is TRUE?
A. Five space lovers were chosen as volunteers.
B. The Mars-500 test will take place in Paris.
C. The volunteers will face many sorts of difficulties.
D. The Mars-500 test is about a real trip to Mars.
Chinese space trainer Wang Yuan has been chosen as one of the volunteers for the Mars-500 test project. He was very happy to be chosen and will accept the meaningful challenge(挑战) Another five volunteers are all space lovers., including three Russians, an Italy-Colombian and a Frenchman. They are about to feel what it’s like to travel to Mars, only without leaving the earth. They are locked up together for a year and a half under a similar condition to the red planet during the whole process. So the experiment is called Mars-500.
When reporters asked what they would miss most during the 520-day special life, French trainer Charles said:”For me, it will be mainly my family, the sun and fresh air.”
The Mars-500 test will be in a special building in Moscow, Russia. Although the people won’t leave the building, they will fell as if they are on a real trip to the Mars. The most difficult thing will be to be separated(分离) from the people that they used to live with. The trainer won’t see sunsets, sunrises, won’t feel rain for 18 months. That will be hard.
The main task is to study the “Man and environment”. It’ll care about the astronauts’ getting experience and physical effects. The 520-day-test is divided into three parts, the first 250days to Mars, the middle 30days of landing on Mars, the last 240 days to return to the earth. Everyone will stay there alone for a long time and will work lonely. They will have to make decisions themselves and only then report to the earth, and the earth will tell them whether they do the right thing or not.
Each astronaut is preparing for the great challenge. It is learned that they will be launched(发射)early in June. And the experiment will end in November 2011.

A.Moscow B.a red planet
C.November D.Xichang
4. It will take trainers _______ days to land on Mars.
A.250 B.30 C.240 D.520

The question whether there is life on Mars (火星) has made the public think a lot for more than a century. The closest look showed Mars to be a dusty, cold world, covered by air too thin to breathe. A British spaceship and Europe's Mars spaceship plan to land on Mars or enter orbit (轨道) around it. One of the NASA’s (美国宇航局) spaceships is expected to land on January 3, the other is going to land on the opposite side of Mars on January 24. Since 1960, over twenty spaceships sent to Mars have failed. Most have been lost on flying up or landing because those are the most difficult times of any flights. Scientists wanted to find out whether there was water in Mars. In October, a team of scientists reported that Mars had been a dry wasteland. But weeks later, a second team reported differently that they had found some marks showed clearly that they were made by the rivers. Such marks told us that Mars was a warmer place billions of years ago — just as life first appeared here on Earth. Scientists at once raise a question: if what they said is true, what happened on Mars? Then what about the earth?
