Nowadays，if you ask a person what the most important thing in his life is，he may tell you that it’s health．People care a lot about health, especially their children’s health．However，there are still several problems with the health of Chinese children．
First，children eat less vegetables now than before，and they don’t get enough milk or milk-based products．A lot of children eat too much fast food，such as fried chicken and French fries．The unhealthy food leads to diseases，such as high blood pressure(高血压)and diabetes(糖尿病)．A report shows that in 2000，17％of children in China were overweight，and 28％of children had high blood pressure．By 2005,the number of overweight children doubled．So did the number of children who have high blood pressure．
Second，unhealthy habits，such as not getting enough exercise，skipping breakfast，eating out too often，and drinking and smoking all have bad effects on the health of children in China．It is reported that most Chinese children spend around 90 percent of their time indoors．Scientists are warning this is very dangerous and they advise schools to give more exercise time to students-at least one hour of physical training time every day．

Luo Xuejuan, the only Chinese swimming champion at the Athens Olympic Games, announced retirement due to illness on Jan. 30, 2007.

Marilyn was born in Los Angeles in 1926, but had quite a sad life as a child.
