    And that has worked．China is one of the safest place for elephants these days．
    The main problem in China is the disappearing forest．In the past，natural forest was around the reserves （保护区），so elephants could travel freely．Now the reserves are completely cut off from each other by farms．The elephants often walk into farms and villages．They eat up bananas and other kinds of fruits．Sometimes they hurt farmers．
    Before ending my interview，Mr．Chang tells me．"Every piece of forest，I work to save it．Every elephant，I work to save it．So when I am old，I can tell my grandchildren I did my best．"It's also a message Prince William would like to send．
