Dear Jim,
Now, I'm writing a letter to you on Mars. It's really wonderful to live on Mars.
Yours
Kate
【答案】Dear Jim, Now, I'm writing a letter to you on Mars. It's really wonderful to live on Mars. I think life on Mars is more comfortable and more interesting than that on earth. We have online schools instead of real ones. We have lessons, do our homework, take exams and talk to teachers and classmates through the computers connected to an interplanetary network at home. It's not so crowded here so we have more space to live. Most of our housework is done by robots so that we can have more time for our hobbies. Mars is very beautiful. There are green trees and fresh flowers everywhere, and there is no pollution here. We have supermarkets in our neighborhood. They make our life more convenient.
Yours
Kate

【题目】阅读理解C![]()
Have you ever had dreams about building a robot? Or putting together a spaceship? Or even seeing your face made out of chocolate? Done. All you need is a 3-D printer!
The possibilities of 3-D printing seem endless. All the user has to do is to design an object on the computer and choose a material to print in. The printers print in hundreds of different materials including glass, sugar and even skin! When the user presses "print", the 3-D printer spreads the material layer by layer and like magic the object is produced.
The first 3-D printer was invented in 1986 by an American, Charles Hull. But 3-D printing has only become cheap enough recently for most people to use. Designers now use 3-D printing to create unusual things. The Dutch artist Dirk Vander Kooj prints furniture made from old fridges. And doctors have used 3-D printing to print human body parts! The Telegraph reported in February that scientists from Cornell Medical College even printed a man-made ear.
But like a lot of new technologies , if 3-D printing gets into the wrong hands, it can be dangerous. In 2011 a group of four men in the US used 3-D printing to produce ATM skimmers . These were placed on an ATM and stole over $400,000 from users of the ATM. It is terrible to think that criminals like them might one day use a 3-D printer to print a gun.
But for better or for worse, 3-D printing has been put into use. In a few years, you'll probably be wondering how you could ever live without your 3-D printer!

【题目】阅读下面短文,并用英语回答问题(请注意每小题后面的词数要求).
There was once an old and deep well.People got water by dropping a bucket(木桶) tied to a rope. The rope passed over a wheel just above the well.On the other side of the rope was another bucket.
A strong pull brought one bucket to the top while the other down to the water. They always passed each other on the way up and down, but never had time to speak.
At last, the rope became worn.So a new rope had to be put in its place. While this was being done, the two buckets were left standing together near the well.
"What a boring life we have!"said one bucket to the other."I am quite tired of it.No matter how full we come up,we are always sent down empty."
But the other bucket laughed and said,"What a funny way you have of looking at things!Don't you see that whenever we are sent down empty,we always come up full?'
Boys and girls sometimes talk like these two buckets. You may hear one of them say,"Just as we are having a good game,we are made to stop and go to work again.""Yes,"the other will reply,"but as soon as work is over,we always get to go out and have fun again."
