【题目】 In China, PE tests are required to graduate from both middle school and high school. To get good grades on the PE tests, Chinese students 1(need) to practice running as well as doing sit-ups and pull-ups(引体向上). But have you ever 2(wonder) what PE classes are like in the US?

In my high school, we are required to take two semesters(学期) of PE 3 (graduate). We play real sports during PE classes, such as basketball and volleyball. There are also some other kinds of American sports that we often play, such as kickball.

I didn’t know the rules of kickball 4 I first came to the US. The teacher allowed me to sit on the sidelines and watch how other students played it in order to let me know the rules.

We also learn some 5(use) life skills in PE. Last year, I learned how to do CPR(心肺复苏)which is a life-saving skill. We 6(teach) how to provide first aid to someone who is choking(窒息).These skills are a large part of the final grade for the PE class in my high school.

I prefer PE classes in the US to the 7 in China. I think they are more fun and useful.

【题目】 When throwing away rubbish, do you know which dustbin it should go in? Have you ever noticed the differently-colored dustbins on the street?

Some of you might not be able to answer this question. However, it's actually quite important to know how to sort(分类)your waste. Not knowing how to sort waste can make it harder to save energy and protect the environment.

If you don't sort your rubbish, all of it will go to a landfill(垃圾清理场)and be buried together. These landfills can take up large areas of ground that could have been used for planting trees or crops. The electronic waste you throw away, such as batteries, can pollute the soil and groundwater. Other pieces of rubbish, like the metal part of a pen, can be used to make other things if they are properly recycled.

With this in mind, many cities in China have been running waste-sorting campaigns(活动)in recent years. for example, Shanghai announced in 2018 that within three years2018—2020, all the people living in Shanghai should sort their rubbish into four groups: wet, recyclable, harmful and dry.

Wet waste is also known as household waste. They are things you don't want but that pigs can eat. Paper, metal, glass and other things that can be reused are recyclable waste.

Many other Chinese cities, including Shenzhen, are using this method to sort their rubbish. Now that you know this, perhaps you can do your part to protect the environment and encourage others to sort their rubbish.

根据短文内容,判断下列句子正(T)、误(F)。

1If you know how to sort waste, it will help us save energy and protect the environment.

2Shanghai will achieve the goal of sorting their rubbish into four groups in 2020.

3The food that we haven't finished eating at home belongs to recyclable waste.

4Many cities in China are doing waste-sorting work nowadays.

5The passage mainly tells us how to recycle rubbish.
