    她慌张地答：“我不冷。”转身落荒而逃，逃离的身影，歪歪扭扭。她是个有自尊的孩子，她实在怕人窥见她的贫穷。
    语文课，她拿出课本来，准备做笔记。语文老师突然宣布：“这节课我们来个景物描写竞赛，就写外面的雪。有丰厚的奖品等着你们哦。”
    教室里炸了锅似的，同学们兴奋得叽叽喳喳，奖品刺激着大家的神经，私下猜测，会是什么呢？很快，同学们都写好了，每个人都穷尽自己的好词好语。她也写了，却写得索然，她写到：“雪是美的，也是冷的。”她没想过得奖，她认为那是很遥远的事，因为她的成绩一直不引人注目。加上家境贫寒，她有多自尊，就有多自卑，她把自己封闭成孤立的世界。改天，作文发下来，她意外地看到，语文老师在她的作文后面批了一句话：“雪在掌心，会悄悄融化成暖暖的水的。”这话带着温度，让她为之一暖。令她更为惊讶的是，竞赛中，她竟得了一等奖。一等奖仅仅一个，后面有两个二等奖，三个三等奖。奖品搬上讲台，一等奖奖品是漂亮的帽子和围巾，还有一双厚厚的棉手套。二等奖奖品是围巾，三等奖奖品是手套。在热烈的掌声中，她绯红着脸，从语文老师手里领取了她的奖品。她觉得心中某个角落的雪，静悄悄地融化了，湿润润的，暖了心。那个冬天，她戴着那顶帽子，裹着那条大围巾，戴着那副棉手套，严寒再也没有侵袭过她。她安然地度过了一个冬天，一直到春暖花开。
    后来，她读大学了，她毕业工作了。她有了足够的钱，可以宽裕地享受生活。朋友们邀她去旅游，她不去，却一次一次往福利院跑，带了礼物去。她不像别人，到了那里，把礼物丢下就完事，而是把孩子们召集起来，温柔地对孩子们说：“来，宝贝们，我们来做个游戏。”她的游戏，花样百出，有时猜谜语，有时背唐诗，有时算算术，有时捉迷藏。在游戏中胜出的孩子，会得到她的奖品——衣服、鞋子、书本等，都是孩子们正需要的。她让他们感到，那不是施舍，而是他们应得到的奖励。温暖便如掌心化雪，悄悄融入孩子们卑微的心灵。
