如图,质量为m=1kg的木桩竖直插在沙中,质量为M=4kg的铁锤从木桩的正上方离木桩上端H=5m高处自由落下,铁锤击中木桩后不反弹,在极短时间内两者达到共同速度一起竖直向下运动,经时间t=0.1s停下.(不计空气阻力和碰撞时间,g取10m/s2)求:                                                                                                          

①铁锤和木桩的共同速度大小;

解:①铁锤下落过程,机械能守恒,由机械能守恒定律:

打入数据得:v1=10m/s,m/s,

铁锤与木桩相撞过程动量守恒,以铁锤的初速度方向为正方向,由动量守恒定律得:

Mv1=(M+m)v2

代入数据得:v2=8m/s;

②铁锤和木桩一起向下运动,由动量定理:

(F﹣Mg﹣mg)t=(M+m)v2

代入数据得:F=450N;

答:①铁锤和木桩的共同速度大小为8m/s;

②木桩受到沙的平均作用力大小为450N.
