When I was about 6 years old I lived in Kenya. There was a lot of      and there were always street children on the roads asking for money. There was such a big divide between those children and me and I grew up very aware of being so     .
We had a wonderful and very kind driver, John, who had been working with my     for decades. He used to take us to and from school. One day while we were stopped in traffic a young street child, probably no more than 10 years old,     with a friendly greeting, “Hi, John!”

It was probably at that    that I understood what kindness really was. A person who was in a difficult situation himself still found some money to     for a child who needed it. I was parked in front of the mall wiping off my car.I had just come from the car wash and was waiting for my wife to get out of work.
Coming my way from across the parking lot was what society would consider a bum. From the looks of him, he had no car, no home, no clean clothes, and no money. There are times when you feel generous but there are other times that you just don't want to be bothered. This was one of those “don't want to be bothered times”.
“ I hope he doesn't ask me for any money,” I thought.
He didn't.He came and sat on the edge of the pavement in front of the bus stop but he didn't
look like he could have enough money to even ride the bus. After a few minutes he spoke.
“That's a very pretty car,” he said.
He was in rags but he had an air of dignity around him.His badly-grown blond beard kept more than his face warm.
I said, “thanks,” and continued wiping off my car.He sat there quietly as I worked. The expected plea(乞求) for money never came.As the silence between us widened, something inside said, “ask him if he needs any help.” I was sure that he would say “yes” but I held true to the inner voice.
“Do you need any help?” I asked.
He answered in three simple words that I shall never forget. We often look for wisdom in great men and women. We expect it from those of higher learning and achievements.I expected nothing but an outstretched dirty hand.He spoke the three words that shook me.
“Don't we all?” he said.

I am Sergey Brin! I was born in Moscow. In 1979, when I was 5, my family immigrated to the United States. I remember that on my 9th birthday I got my first computer “Commodore 64”.
Later I graduated with honors in the University of Maryland in Mathematics and IT. The main field of my science research was the technologies used to collect data from unsystematic sources as well as large quantities of texts and science data. I was the author of dozens of articles in leading American academic magazines.
The greatest event in my life happened when in 1998 I was preparing for the defense(论文答辩)of my Doctor’s degree in Stanford University. There the fate made me meet Larry Page—a young computer genius. Naturally the idea for a search engine that would allow specific information to be found in the endless pool of data was born like it came to us. It wasn’t our plans but we gave up the education at the university. You know the next part, maybe we managed to turn an ordinary garage in Meplo Park, California, the U. S.
