    Exercise can have a surprised number of benefits. It is important way to keep fit. Not only can it help you achieve beneficial weight loss, and every time you exercise, it helps to reduce the risk of disease more efficiently. By exercising regular, you look better and feel more confident, which have a positive effect on both physical and mental well-being. While you exercise, especially in some challenging sports, you often work as a member of a team. In this way, it also teaches us how to work with others.

    I have had all kinds of interesting neighbors since the early days of my life. When I was a baby I would stand in my wooden crib(婴儿床) and watch the world go by through the window.     The Japanese neighbors I had living in this same house were my favorite, as they introduced me to sea-salt baked shrimps (烤虾) which were so crisp that you could eat the shrimp totally. They gave me some seaweed for my birthday. Thankfully, no other member in my family enjoyed the seaweed as I did. Perhaps what my mother used to joke to me was true, that I was picked up out of the dustbin that belonged to a Japanese home.

    Maybe sometimes it is difficult to find good neighbors in this society. But all it takes is a spark(火花) to get a fire going. I have decided to be that spark wherever I live and pass love on to my neighbors.

    British Women Writers in different periods of time

    The English Renaissance

    The English Renaissance began in the later part of the fifteenth century and lasted until the 1660s. Among the most famous women writers of this period is Aphra Behn, who is seen as the first professional woman writer in English. She wrote a number of plays that dealt with topics such as racism and slavery. A good example is Oroonoko published in 1688. Aphra Behn's works include also the plays The Amourous Prince, The Town Fop, The Dutch Lover and her only tragedy, Abdelazer.

    The neoclassical period

    Among the well-known women in Bristish literature during the neoclassical period, from 1660 to the end of the eighteenth century, is Anne Finch. She wrote poetry and tried to express all that she saw and experienced. Two other women are recognized for their contribution to neoclassical British literature: Mary Astell and Lady Mary Wortley Montagu. Mary Astell was a philosopher and a feminist writer. She is best known now for her theories on the education of women.

    The Romantic period

    Jane Austen is one of the most famous women writers that worked during the Romantic period (1798-1832). Her works include several novels, most of which focus on marriage as a way for young women to secure social standing and economic security. Her most famous novels are Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and Emma. Another famous woman writer from the English Romanticism is Mary Shelley. She is the author of Frankenstein, History of Six Weeks Tour and The Last Man.

    The Victorian period

    The Victorian period, between the 1830s and 1900, was the time when the Bronte sisters, George Eliot and Elizabeth Gaskell lived and wrote. Charlotte Bronte, Emily Bronte and Anne Bronte produced many British literary classics. Charlotte's novels include Jane Eyre, Shirley, Villette and The Professor. Mary Anne Evans adopted the male pen name George as she wanted to set herself apart from the feminine genre of cookbooks and domestic moral tales. Her most famous novel is The Mill on the Floss published in 1860.

    The most important thing I did in Paris happened at that moment. I knew that if I didn't go out，right then，and find a place to have dinner，I would hide in this place my entire time in Paris. I might never learn to enjoy the world as a single individual．So I went out．Evening in Paris was light and warm．I strolled along a winding path，listening to birds sing，watching children float toy sailboats in a huge fountain．Paris was beautiful．And I was here alone but suddenly not lonely．My sense of accomplishment at overcoming my fear had left me feeling free，not abandoned．

    During my week's stay in Paris, I did everything there was to do，and it was the greatest week of my European vacation．I returned home a believer in the healing power of solitary travel．Traveling alone makes up for its problems by demanding self-reliance and building the kind of confidence that serves the single life well．Certainly Paris became my metaphor(比喻说法）for addressing life's challenges on my own．Now when I meet an obstacle I just say to myself: If I can go to Paris，I can go anywhere.
