  Thanksgiving Day is the most truly American holiday in the United States.

  In 1620, the settlers, or Pilgrims, sailed to America on the May Flower.They wanted to find a place where they could have freedom to worship(敬拜)God.

In almost every big university in the United States, football is a favorite sport. American football is not like soccer.

Players sometimes kick the ball, but they also throw () the ball and run with it. They try to take it to the other end of the field; they have four chances to move the ball ten yards ().
