We are now living in an information age, in which TV, cells/cell phones and the Web are widely used. It seems that many people cannot enjoy themselves without them.

Different people hold different attitudes towards the phenomenon. Some think it is worthwhile for them to learn for another year in order to be admitted to a better university. But in my opinion, this is not a wise decision or even it’s a risky business to do so. Firstly, they will waist a lot of precious opportunities that are pursued by their fellow students. Secondly, the colleges they applied for may not get enough students as scheduled. Thirdly, it is obviously a waist of time and money for those students. Last but not least, chances are that they will fail the exam the next year.

Taking into account all these factors, it’s no use spending another year on what we have learned.
