China could become the first country to
classify Internet addiction as a clinical disorder among growing concern over
compulsive(强制的)Web use by millions of Chinese.
Users who spend six hours or more per day
online, and show at least one symptom(症状)including difficulty in sleeping or concentrating, yearning to be online,

definition of addiction.

Recent research by Internet media company
InterActiveCorp showed that 42 percent of Chinese youngsters polled(民意测验)felt
"addicted" to the Web, compared to 18 percent in the United States.
China's government has tried various measures to
