　　 The movie Romeo and Juliet is fun and exciting to watch. This movie brings Shakespeare’s work to the screen.

　　 If the stage is an actor’s medium, the cinema is the director’s. Romeo and Juliet is a feast for the eyes, and does a great job of attracting the audience to the story at all times. Various movie techniques and tricks are used, which makes understanding Shakespeare fun, interesting, and easy.

　　 This version of Romeo and Julietis successful on many levels for many reasons. But I believe the most successful part of this film is that it never forgets that it is a movie made for the audience. The audience feel very comfortable with everything happening on the screen, for it is all familiar and easily understandable through the talented work of the film-makers. This movie knows its audience well and does a great job of "delivering the goods". Besides, the actor who played Romeo is very handsome. It should therefore come as no surprise that the majority of the audience were young, excited and applauding at the movie’s end.

　　 The great news for jazz fans is that there’s a winter version of the festival held in Orvieto between the 28th of December, 2005 and the 1st of January, 2006. In 2006 Umbria Jazz festival presents top Italian Jazz from the 27th of March to the 2nd of April in New York. Next year’s Umbria Jazz festival is from the 7th to the 16th of July.
