　　 Amy, 13, will leave for China to join in the 2006 Shanghai International Children’s Culture and Arts Festival. The theme of the festival is peace, friendship and the future. She is among 23 children of the Pittsburgh area from Haihua Youth Orchestra1, which is made up of local youth from 7 to 14. Most of them are American-born Chinese.

　　 The orchestra is one of four American children’s groups that will represent the United States at the festival, which starts on Saturday and continues through July 31.
