工信部部长李毅中昨日表示，暂时不会上调烟草税，并回应了对烟草局控烟不力的指责。对于近期是否会上调烟草税，李毅中予以否认。他解释，和西方国家比，中国的烟草税可能还有些差距，但中国有中国的国情。对于控烟人士认为烟草局未努力控烟，李毅中表示，尽了很大努力，每年卷烟数量在控制，焦油含量也从每支近30毫克降低到12．8毫克，同时，对禁烟和控烟做了很多宣传，比如烟盒包装都有“吸烟有害健康"标志，公众场所的禁烟、控烟也在扩大范围。但李毅中亦坦言，距离社会和媒体的要求还有一定差距。
