We often compare ourselves with others, whether it's in school, at home, or among friends.
When comparing ourselves with others, it's important to focus on different aspects.
For example, my friend Lily is much better at maths than me. She can solve difficult problems far more quickly. I perform better in Chinese. I am more passionate about reading ancient poems and writing stories.
We also differ in hobbies. Lily loves dancing. She spends more hours practising every week and dances much better than me. I like running. Running keeps me fitter and fills me with more energy. I run much faster than her.
However, we shouldn't feel bad if others seem better in some ways. Everyone has his own strengths. We should always value ourselves. After all, being true to ourselves is far more important than trying to be someone else.
