Last summer I travelled to Russia with two friends. We stayed in Moscow for three days. Then we visited St. Petersburg and stayed there for two days.
In Moscow, we walked in Red Square. The ground was flat and made of red bricks. The tall walls of the Kremlin looked strong and old. A street singer sang near the square. His soft voice made us smile. I bought a small doll in a shop by the square. I was excited to stand where so much history happened.
Next, we ate lunch in a small café near the Kremlin. I had hot tomato soup with bread. The soup was warm and tasty. My friends tried small dumplings with cream. We drank warm tea and watched people walk by. The café was quiet and bright. I felt peaceful and happy.
Then we took a train to St. Petersburg. In St. Petersburg, we walked by the Neva River. The river was wide and the water moved slowly. We saw small boats and old bridges. The sky was blue and the wind was light.
On our last night, we went to the Mariinsky Theatre to watch a ballet show. The dancers wore bright clothes and moved like flowers in the wind. The soft music made us feel calm. We clapped loudly at the end. This trip was full of happy moments, and I will always remember it.
