Directions
(1).Run through the examples with the Ss. and make sure that they are familiar with the use of the present perfect tense.
(2). Ask the Ss. to repeat the sentences in the box.
(3). Ask“Can you make other similar examples?”
(4).Focus the Ss’ attention on the ways in which they are used:
Task2: Write 5 questions.
Directions:
(1). Do activity 2 on page 30 individually.
(2). Ask the Ss. to check with a partner.
(3). Ask the Ss. to read the 5 questions.
(4). Summarize: the formation of the present perfect how- questions. How long… +have+ Sub. + p.p. … ?
Task 3: Ask and answer the questions you wrote just now.
Directions:
(1). Ask the Ss. to do Activity 3 on page 31 individually. Pair the Ss to ask the questions in Activity 2 and answer with the answers from Activity 3. We can also do Activity 1 and Activity 4 at this time.
(2).Circulate and monitor their production.
(3) Call the answers back from some pairs.
