Step1: Warming-up
T: What’s the weather like today? If it is fine and you are free, would you like to travel? If you don’t know the way when you travel, can you ask the way in English? If you can’t, just follow me.
Step 2:Lead-in
Ask some students to the blackboard to demonstrate the prepositions of location, across from, next to, between… and… ,on ,in front of, behind to other students
Step 3:presentation
Show the picture of page7 on the big screen. Ask the students to describe the location of the buildings. Use the prepositions in step2.
Step 4:practice
Draw a sketch map, ask students to fill the building’s name according to the indication
Step 5: Presentation
T: Tomorrow is Saturday. I want to borrow some books from the library. But I don’t know the way. Can you show me the way? Introduce the phrases and sentences: turn left\turn right \on the left\on the right\go straight

Step 7:Consolidation

Next Tuesday is my birthday. I’m going to some places to buy somethings. Follow my instruction and stick the building’s names at the proper place. If you are right, you can get the invitation of my birthday.

本单元的主题是方位,地点名词是学生单词突破的重点,与学生的生活相结合,扩充一些词汇,明确的表述各个建筑所处的位置。围绕这几点设置了四个活动,利用多媒体素材,以任务型的教学模式来完成整个教学。其中图片的展示能给学生更立体的感受,更加明确空间位置关系。运用画图的辅助形式,激发学生的兴趣,能够达到更好的效果。
