2. Ask Ss to do some simple actions after the teacher.
T: Boys and girls, Some of you look tired. Now do some actions after me and try to relax yourselves. First, shake your heads. Next shrug your shoulders. Then swing your bodies. Finally clap your hands.
Step2 Revision
T: Last time we learned how to make a banana mike shake. Do you still remember?
Ss answer the question individually. Then the teacher using the CAI to revise how to make a banana milk shake with the Ss.
Step3 Leading
T: The banana milk shake is very nice, yes? Do you like it?
Ss: Yes.
The teacher show a small bag of popcorn to the Ss and say: This is very nice, too. Do you know what’s this in English? Present the new word popcorn.
Step4 presentation
Task1. Learn to make popcorn.
T: Do you know how to make popcorn? What do we need to make popcorn? Then present the new words.
Ss look at the pictures of 3b and discuss how to make popcorn in groups. Enable the Ss to use first, next, then and finally to describe a process.
Ask some Ss to report the result. Then Ss ask and answer in pairs.
Task2 Learn to make fruit salad.
T: It’s summer now. Some people like to eat fruit salad. Now let’s learn to make fruit salad.
Ask the Ss to read the passage of 3a and fill in the blanks with first, next, then and finally. Check the answers.
Ss find out what ingredient we need to make fruit salad. How much/ How many do we need? Explain the usages of countable nouns and uncountable nouns.
Ask the Ss to make fruit salad in groups in the classroom. (The material should be prepared well before class.) The teacher walks around to give them help if needed.
Ask one student to act a journalist interview the groups how do they make fruit salad.
To see which group is the best and give them prize.
Step5 Extension
T: Now we have learned how to describe a process. Let’s discuss how make fast instant noodles.
Step6 Homework
The teacher summarize what has been learned from the lesson and gives the homework.
