Cathy Freeman: An Australian and Aboriginal hero

One of the great heroes that competed at Australia’s 2000 Olympics was an Aboriginal runner called Cathy Freeman. She is the first Aboriginal runner to win a gold medal at the Commonwealth games in 1994. When she won the gold medal for the 400-meter race in the 2000 Olympics, she carried both an Australian flag and an Aboriginal flag.
