教学步骤

Step 1. Questionnaire

Invite the students to fill in the questionnaire in Part A, on Page 35. Then go through the quesitons one by one and focus on what they like or dislike about their school. Organize a discussion and encourage the students to speak as many proper reasons as possible.

When the students are talking about what they like and dislike about their school. Ask them about their ideal school. Encourage the students to write down their answers on Page 35.

Step2 Designing a timetable

Invite the students to design a timetalbe for their favourite subjects, sports and after-school activities. They may need this to write about their ideal school.

Step3 Reading for structures

教学目标

1.　　 Choose a text Ss have learned to read and pay attention to the use of the rising voice and the falling voice.

5.　　 Ask some pairs of Ss to come to the front of the class and present their exchabges. Give the other Ss criteria for awarding points.

Homework：

4.　　 Ask Ss to think of something untrue or strange and make sentences. Make sure Ss pronounce the sentences with a falling voice. Ask the other Ss to react to each sentence with a rising voice to express surprise. Encourage Ss to make some amusing or unusual statements to create a fun atmosphere in the classroom.

3.　　 Divide the class in pairs and read these sentences to their partners, correct each other and improve each other. While practising, the teacher walks around the class and correct Ss’wrong intination.

2.　　 Ask Ss to listen to the sentences again, put a rising arrow at the end of the sentence if you think the speaker is surprised. Put a falling arrow if you think the he/she isn’t..
