Step 1. Lead in
Talk about the questions in “THINK ABOUT IT”
Do you like to take the train? Why or why not?
What can you see at the train station?
Gather the answers from the students.
Step 2. Listen to the tape of the text with the following questions:
How does Danny feel about the train trip?
How much does Li Ming need to pay for their tickets?
When does the train leave?
Step 3. Listen to the tape again and let the students read after it.
Step 4. Have the students read the text aloud for a few minutes. Then ask them act it out in roles. Correct their pronunciation when necessary.
