A：Hello！Nice to meet you。I`m Wang Jingjing，a journalist from CCTV。Could I interview you now？

B：Of course，thank you 。

A：Could you say something about yourself？When and where were you born?

B：Sure。I was born in Taiwan on January 18，1979。I am one of the most famous singers in Asia。

A：I hear that you started to learned the piano when you were only three years old。

B：Right，as a small child，I took a great interest in music。Before I became a singer，I worked as a song writer。I spent most of my time writing for singers like Coco Lee and Jolin Tsai。

A：Why do so many fans like you？

B：Perhaps I`m really good at music and never follow others。

Teacher: So by now we have learned quite a lot of things to talk about the people you admire。I know everyone has an idle in your mind, right? Here I`ll give you some time to prepare a short speech or an article to introduce a man you admire and write about what she/he is and what she/he looks like。

Then come to the front to present it and let the others guess who you are talking about. This is a game. Are you ready? Go!

Student (Group One):

A:This is a young man。He is tall and handsome。He is a sunshine boy。He was born in Shanghai。

B: When was he born?

A:He was born on July 13，1983。

B:Born in Shanghai？

(Ⅳ)Homework　　 学生分组做各个领域名人的大海报，科学家，政治家，音乐家等，让学生认识到要成就一番事业需要付出艰辛，来激励学生的学习热情。

(Ⅰ)将学生说出的词汇分类展示在大屏幕上。如appearance--good looking , long /short hair，short/thin，athletic，cool 。personality--outgoing，funny，foolish，shy，brave，lovely，honest。Occupation--artist， scientist，maker，inventor，player，actor。

(Ⅱ)根据词汇信息提示，对图片上的人物加以描述。

(Ⅲ)总结询问人物有关信息的常用句式：Who is he? What does he do ? What does he look like? (appearance) What's he like? (personality )Where was he born? (birth place /nationality) How old was he when he first…？What does he like doing in his free time?

通过以上活动激起学生想要学习本课的兴趣和欲望，做好学习新课准备，使他们在和谐，民主的自然交流中过渡到新课讲解。
