1.　　 Show some pictures of famous persons with some phases and ask the students to make sentences similar to “He started golfing when he was 17 years old.”

5.　 Show the students a passage and ask them to say something about themselves.

I am a teacher. I am 14 years old. I started going to school when I was 6 years old. I started learning English when I was 12 years old. I like English very much. And I started cleaning my room when I was 8 years old.

Give the students 5 minutes to make up a new small passage according to the example.

(This step is based on the first two steps . After teaching the new words and the simple sentences, the children need something more difficult. Moreover, most students are very poor in writing, so we offer them a chance to make up a passage . This activity will help the kids improve their composition.)
