4. tell 的用法

意为：说，告诉。例如：

Let me tell you a story. 让我给你讲个故事吧。

Do you tell the news to your parents? 你把这个消息告诉你父母了吗？

He tells me he will be back in an hour. 他告诉我一个小时之内就会回来的。

词组：tell sb. about sth. 告诉某人关于某事

注意：tell 的两个句式

肯定句：tell sb. to do sth. 告诉某人做某事

Please tell him to do it carefully.

否定句：tell sb. not to do sth. 告诉某人不要做某事

Tell him not to draw on the wall.

易混词：say　 talk　　 speak

1)say 是“说，讲”的意思，它针对的是说话的内容. 例如：

What do you say? 你说什么？

He doesn’t say anything. 或 He says nothing.

2)speak 是“说，讲话”的意思，不强调说话的内容，但有时讲某种语言，或正式场合发言时，要用speak.

The baby is learning to speak.　　 这个小孩正在学说话。

Speak more slowly, please.　　 请慢点讲。

Don’t speak with your mouth full.　 不要嘴里含着东西说话。

3)talk 是“谈话，交谈”的意思， 兼有不及物动词和名词两种词性，常与with, about, to 搭配

3. at, in, on 介词与时间的搭配

1)at常用来表示在某点的时间，即“在几点几分；在某一时刻”。如：

She usually gets up at 6:00 in the morning.

她通常早上6点起床。

The man often gets to his office at 8:30.

这个男人经常8：30到他的办公室。

另外，at还可以用在at night(在晚上)，at last(最后)，at weekends(在周末)

at noon(在中午)等固定短语中。

2)on常用来表示“在某天或星期几”。另外，表示“在某天的上、下午或晚上”时，介词也用on。如：

on Sunday(在星期天)，on weekends(在周末)，

on February 8^th(在二月八日)，

on Monday morning(在星期一上午)，

on the afternoon of November 21^st(在十一月二十一日下午)

on a cold winter evening(在一个寒冷冬天的夜晚)

3)in表示“在某一段时间”，如某年、某月、某个季节，如：

in 1998(在一九九八年)in March(在三月)，in summer(在夏天)。

另外，在某一些固定短语中要用in，如in the morning, in the evening，
