Step 1.Pre_task

(1) Revise the contents of last class by asking some questions:

 What kind of clothes do you like? 

What’s your favorite movie?

 What kind of writers do you like?

 Ask some students to give answers.

(2) Check homework by asking several students to read their articles to the class. Ask the other students to help them with the mistakes. Then ask the students to work in pairs, exchange their articles and help each other to correct the mistakes. Move around the classroom and offer as much help as possible.

1) Scanning

T: We can see there are three passages in this activity. They are three reviews about a movie, an exhibition and a band. Let's see the first one now. It is about a movie that is named Yellow River Fishermen. What does the reviewer think of the movie? Who made it? What does the reviewer think of the director? Please scan it as quickly as you can and tell me the answers.

Get all the children stop reading and ask who has got the answers. Choose three students who have put their hands up to show they know the answers to the three questions. Help them to get the proper answers.

Then ask the students to reread the reviews more carefully and tell them I will ask some more questions on it in details.

2) Carefully reading

(1)    定义:在复合句中,修饰名词和代词的从句叫定语从句。被修饰的名词和代词叫先行词。

(2)    引导定语从句的关系词有that(指人/物)which (指物) who (指人)

(3)    定语从句分限定性定语从句和非限定性定语从句。非限定性定语从句是对先行词所做的附加说明,它同主句的关系不是十分密切,即使省了, 并不影响主句意义的明确或完整。非限定性定语从句一般用“,”与主句隔开。引导非限定性定语从句 的关系代词不可省略,that不能引导非限定性定语从句。

Step 1 Revision

   Let students have a competition to dicate the new words,then make sentendces by using the target languag :The Relative Clauses with that and who. For example:A:I like music that I can sing along with

   What about you?B:I disagree with you。I prefer music that has great lyrics。(学生在讨论的同时老师可以进行个别指导)

Step 2 Pre-task

   Play several different pieces of music,let students say what kind of music they enjoy.then say:you will hear Tony and Betty are talking about the kinds of music each one likes.Listen carefully and check the boxes in the chart.(解释听力中要出现的目标语言)

  Step 1 Check up

     Have an English speech contest,and the topic is “my favorites”.You can talk about anything you like and try to give us the reasons. First work in groups,then choose the best to say in class.(进一步巩固上一节课的语言知识)

  Step 2 Presentation

     SectionA 3a provides reading practice using the target language. Ask students to read the review on their own,when they have finished, ask stuednts to say any words or pharases that they don’t understand.Then ask students to read and match up the parts of the sentences.Check the answers.

  Step 3 Pair work
