1. Show a number of pictures and let the students discuss in groups to find out who the owner is. Make sure they use the target languages while they are talking.

Let students practice in pairs according 1b and then ask several pairs to show up their dialogue. Let them pay attention to “be xx’s and belong to xx”.

Discuss the picture with the students and then finish 1b by listening to the recorder. Then check the answers.

Show some pictures for the student to practice target languages by guessing who the person is.
Play guessing games to make the students have a brain storming by using It could/ might be a/an…,encourage them to say as much as they can.
