Before the class, do the duty report.

Step 1:  Greeting. 

Step 2:  Learning the new words: 

Show some pictures of the new words to the students on the screen, and ask them to read after teacher.  Then read them by themselves.

Use the flashcards to practice some sentences. Point at the picture of meat and say: “I’m hungry. I want to eat." Let the students repeat. 

Teacher: I’m hungry. 

Students: I’m hungry.

Teacher: I want to eat.

Students: I want to eat.

Ask the students to say what the meanings of the sentences are. Use the same way to teach: I’m thirty. I want to drink. 

Step 3:  Practice 

This morning, I’m very busy. So I don’t have breakfast. Now I am hungry, and I am thirsty. What about you?  Then ask and answer like this: 

Teacher: Are you hungry? 

Students 1: Yes, I am. 

Students 2: No, I’m not.

Students 3: Yes, I am.

…… 

Then practice in pairs: 

A: Are you hungry? 

B: Yes, I am. / No, I’m not. 

Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books. 

Ask them to read for 2 minutes , and then read it in three. At last, ask the volunteers to act it out.  (According to the pictures on the screen.)

Step 4: 

Hold up some flashcards and ask: “Do you like…?” They answer: “Yes, I do.” or “No, I don’t.”
