Li Mei, a student in Beijing:
We have little time to develop our interests because we have to spend more time on study. A household skill class can give us the chance to experience more of life and help us find different interests. I hope we could be given the chance to take whatever courses we like.
Mrs Chen, a housewife in Hubei:
Children should have cooking classes. They will be taught about different foods and how to cook healthy food. Many parents don't have the professional (专业的) knowledge and we have no time to do it. I think a household skill class would provide the knowledge that parents are unable to give the children.
Mr Wang, a teacher in Shandong:
By learning basic skills like cooking and cleaning, children can learn to help their parents with housework and look after themselves. Instead of asking parents for help with every problem, they need to learn new things, deal with problems and grow from their experiences. It is necessary for children to know how to do these important life skills as early as possible.
Wu Lei, an engineer in Shanghai:
I learned most of my basic cooking skills from my mother. But most of them were learned from books and online (在线) videos. Household skills like cooking are very useful in our daily life. I hope cooking classes in our daily life. I hope cooking classes will really make the students know the importance and value of labour education.
